Dear STEM Academy Parents, Teachers, Families & Our Community,
The STEM Academy @ Bartlett PTSA would like to thank you for your continued support of our Parent-Teacher-Student Association. Your membership and volunteer efforts are vital in helping support our school, staff and children. We are writing to inform you that the annual PTSA membership for STEM Academy PTSA will increase from $7 per year to $11 per year. This change will be effective pending a vote at our next PTSA Meeting that will take place on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at 5pm. Dues will remain at $7 per person pending vote and Bylaws approval. If you have already joined STEM Academy PTSA and have paid your membership fee for the 2025-2026 School Year, the increase in membership will NOT affect you until next year.
This increase is necessary due to increases in National PTA dues as well as State PTA dues. The increase will also help us to provide more quality programs and resources to our students and teachers. National PTA dues are now $3.25 per member and State Dues are now $1.85 per member. This means that $5.10 from each membership fee paid to STEM PTSA is used to pay National PTA & State PTA Dues.
We understand that any fee increase is a consideration for families. We hope that by providing ample notice and transparent reasoning, you can see the value and impact of this decision. We remain committed to ensuring that our school, teachers and students are supported and have fun activities throughout the school year.
